About the tournament

The 2027 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup is in its 21st edition — and the first held in North America.

From August 20-September 5, 2027, the tournament travels through the United States and Canada. Eight pools of four teams open pool play; 16 advance to the elimination rounds; one is crowned world champion in Anaheim.

Hosts USA and Canada, along with defending champions Italy, qualify automatically. The remaining twenty-nine spots are earned across a two-year global qualification path — a chance for every federation, from established powers to first-time contenders, to write themselves into the game's story.
